I just got an iMac from a friend and he took the hard drive out of it so i put my ssd is the Mac and started it on and pressed command R but I was unable to reach the recovery mode the line of loading was finished and then I just got a black screen. I opend the iMac and took the ssd out and then the recovery mode work just fine but now I can't install the Mac OS because the ssd is out...
can I please get help

Has the SSD been assigned as the start up drive and was it formatted with a GUID partition????????

I can do that with another computer but I don't have any operating system on the iMac ...
edit : still does not work ...
What year is the Mac??????????? Doing it from another computer is NOT the correct method.
