hard drive showing incorrect amount of space

My 500GB hard drive is only showig me that I have 280GB of space in total after I factory reset my macbook pro. what can i do to fix this problem?

Hi,

Run DiskUtility > First Aid could solve the issue.

Space on hard drive Hi Guys, I've just bought a nearly brand new macbook pro off a friend.
