2016 15 inch MacBook Pro display went black randomly and stays black after restart. The laptop works as I can hear sounds and the keyboard and Touch Bar are working.
When connecting to an external display through HDMI the display flickers.

I think your MacBook Pro has hardware related issue.
You'd better make Genius Bar reservation or take the MacBook Pro to Apple authorized service provider to check it up.
