I bought a new HomePod, but I don't have the option to update to iOS 12. The Home app says this HomePod has the latest software (11.2.5).
Does anyone have any ideas on how to force it to update to IOS 12?

What version of iOS is on the device you used to your set-up the HomePod? That may need an update. Otherwise configure for automatic updates and see if it manages to do it overnight.
