Account Recovery Requested

I have just set up my new iPhone, I forgot my password and went to reset it and my new phone has come up with this message. “Account Recovery requested” It won’t let me click done or go any further and nothing has been sent to my phone number. I have reset the password on my current phone but it still won’t let me do anything on my new phone

"Account recovery is a process designed to get you back into your Apple ID account when you don’t have enough information to reset your password. For security reasons, it might take several days or longer before you can use your account again".
