I have a MacBook Air (mid 2013) and I need to connect it to my projector but it’s hdmi or vga is there an adapter I can use to connect it because my computer has the original thunderbolt and all the new computer come with the thunderbolt 3 or usb c and all the products I see applies to them only

What everyone else on here has shown you is basically what you need to connect your Macbook Air to the projector. I have used one of these on my Macbook Air from 2014. I have used this adapter many many times and am very happy with it. Now mind you I did not buy the the one from Apple. But the one I got works great.

The Thunderbolt port on your MacBook Air is also a Mini DisplayPort. As such, you would need a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter for this situation.

Also I made a screen saver to come up after 5 mins on my Mac and password to come after a min but it’s not coming up like when the 5 mins comes it just go black
