iTunes to iCloud
Is it possible to transfer your library of music including music you’ve imported from CDs to the cloud, if so how?

Both iTunes Match and Apple Music can catalog your iTunes music library and either match or upload it, however matches are not always perfect (e.g. clean vs. explicit). You should retain source copies of all media in case you accidentally delete something in error you cannot otherwise restore, or your subscription cannot be renewed at the appropriate time and you lose access to all of it. I would recommend backing up the entire iTunes library to an external drive before you start using either service.
