My 2nd generation airpods lose charge really fast

I got them 2 days ago and was so excited. I've tried this few times already where I would charge it to a 100%, use it for phone calls for about 2 hours and leave them on my desk and within the next hour or so, they will be completely discharged. What am I doing wrong, or what am I not doing?

AirPods won’t hold a charge I have a pair of AirPods which do NOT hold a charge. I’ve used them 5 times since owning them and am so frustrated that every time I pick them up, they are dead. Do I have to keep them permanently charging if I don’t use them for more than 24 hours? I have another pair of wireless headphones I bought for $40 and I can pick them up after 3 weeks and they are still charged. In my mind, I completely wasted $200 on the AirPods.

why mY replacement AirPods don’t hold a good charge Has anyone had trouble with charging new AirPods? I have the pros and they will not work for more than 2 hrs
