Copying timecode to clipboard

Hello community,

How do I copy a timecode from a sequence or clip to the clipboard? So that I can report that timecode to someone else.

This is easy on FCP7, you press tab and it automatically selects the current timecode from the timeline.

FCPX is proving to be very difficult to do some easy tasks from FCP7...

Thank you very much.

Copy Timecode is a menu entry in the Edit menu. You can open Final Cut Pro > Commands > Customize and search for Timecode. You should find Copy Timecode in the list. Assign a new keyboard shortcut (one that hasn't been used). May I suggest something like Control-Down Arrow?
