iMessage not working on macbook

I am not able to use iMessage on my macbook, when i try to login with my appleid it says "Could not sign in to iMessage" and "An error occurred during authentication"

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.14

If you can't sign in to your iMessage account or ... - Apple Support
