Macbook Pro 201O stuck on starting up.

I got an old Macbook Pro 2010 who had problems with a broken RAM (8gb).

I replaced it with two RAM-plates from my other MacBook Pro (4gb).

But it still doesn't work.

Everything I tried:

I erased the hard drive (SSD).

  • Stuck on starting up.
  • Stuck on cmd + R
  • When inserted flash USB-stick + option key stuck after selecting flash drive.

I inserted the SSD from my own mac

  • Did safe start and restarted
  • Starts to login screen
  • Stuck on login screen
  • Stuck on cmd+R

Don't know what I can try more.

Pls help me!

MacBook Pro

Have you tried an SMC reset & PRAM reset (holding it for at least 3 chimes)?

Try booting the laptop using just a single stick of RAM in the slot closest to the Keyboard.

What brand is the original memory and the memory from the other laptop? What are the specifications for the memory pulled from your other laptop?

Try running the Apple Hardware Test.

Have you tried booting the SSD using a USB Adapter/dock/enclosure to eliminate the hard drive cable as the issue?

What brand and model SSD are you using?

What was the problem with the original RAM? How did you verify the original RAM was bad?

FYI, some USB sticks can boot extremely slow on a Mac.
