Apple Car Play won't work with Iphone 6

Can't get apple carplay to work on my Iphone6 can connect via Bluetooth for music but can't get any further functionality from carplay. Like maps, the home screen, messages etc.

Tried resetting home screen so all apps in default position. Nothing seems to work.
