iPad screen mirroring not working when sharing mac screen

iPad screen mirroring to mac not working when sharing the mac’s screen

I want to share the screen of my iPad onto the mac while I am in a voice call via the screen mirroring feature

It works normally when I am not sharing my mac’s screen,

however when I started sharing screen on my mac and attempted to screen mirror my iPad to show someone what is on my ipad, it shows as I am screen mirroring on my iPad but on the mac it is just a black screen

Is this possible to fix? Or is it a built in security feature?

Ive also tried restarting my devices but its still the same

My iPad is on iPadOS 26.2 and mac on macOS 26.2
