Adobe Photoshop system requirements are here -> Adobe Photoshop on desktop technical requirements

Brief summary of current requirements:

  • macOS 13x, 14x, 15x or 26x (Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia or Tahoe)
  • 8GB RAM minimum, 16GB RAM recommended (even more is better)

This happens sometimes when you upgrade the OS.

Shut down & restart your Mac. (Do a full shut down, don't just restart it.) See if that fixes the problem.

If that doesn't clear up the problem, check to see if there is an update for Photoshop. If there is, download & install it. Photoshop 27.2 is the latest version. If there is no update available you may need to uninstall Photoshop and then reinstall a fresh copy.

Supporting evidence: Adobe – Adobe apps compatibility with macOS

The December 11, 2025 revision of this page shows Photoshop 27.0 as being compatible with Tahoe, suggesting that earlier versions of Photoshop might not be.
