The App Switcher - also known as Exposé in iPadOS 26 - is unchanged in its appearance from iPadOS 18.x.
If your iPad is not operating as expected, try a forced-restart - as this will often clear an isolated or post-update software issue:
Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)
If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:
If the problem persists after performing the restart, it may be necessary to reset your iPad settings. While this reset will not cause any loss of data, as a precaution, it is always wise to ensure that you have a current iCloud or iTunes backup before performing the reset:

When you are happy to proceed, you can perform the reset from iPad settings:
Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset All Settings
If the problem still doesn’t clear, the next step is to reset the iPad to factory settings:

Otherwise, you would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page. Alternatively and perhaps easier, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You can’t… app switcher looks the same on my iPad.
Under iPadOS 26, pressing and holding CMD key along with TAB key allows you to cycle through your open Apps - and will show a dock-representation of your currently open (running) App windows while the TAB key is held:
This differs from the App Switcher (Exposé) page that is summoned with an upward-swipe from the bottom edge of the iPad touch-screen - or, if you are using a TrackPad, swiping-upwards with three fingers.
To the best of my knowledge, there isn't an available keyboard shortcut to open the Exposé page directly from a an external keyboard.
Further to my earlier reply, does your external keyboard have a "Home" key?
My own third-party keyboard (Logitech K380) has a Home key (also labelled F4 on my keyboard). Tapped twice in quick succession, this key will open the full Exposé view...
To be clear,
What I mean with the App Switcher is the thing comes up when you do CMD + TAB.
Can we make It bigger? Because It got smaller on the IpadOS 26.1.
No and a force restart won’t change anything.
