I right click on my desktop to add a widget, and nothing happens. I can't find anyway to add widgets to my computer.

Then please say more about 'nothing happens'. When does nothing happen? If you secondary click on the desktop, do you not see a menu appear? Is Edit Widgets missing from the menu? If you select Edit Widgets, does the widget panel not open? If you hover over a widget in the panel and click the green (+) button, does the widget not appear on your desktop? Or if all of that does work, do the added widgets not show up?
If it's the last one, make sure System Settings > Desktop & Dock is set to show them in the Widgets section.
So when I right click, the option is there. When I click on it the widget panel doesn’t show.
Everything in settings is setup to show widgets.

Yes I’ve tried this. I have a MacBook pro running the same OS and it works just fine.
