MacBook Air: Unwanted invites for self-created iCloud events
Question about Calendar on MacBook Air, 2022, running Tahoe 26.2: In the last few months, whenever I create an event within my own iCloud calendar, I receive a pop-up invitation for the event from "Somebody". Details regarding the calendar: The iCloud calendar is set up publicly so I can sync it with my work Exchange account, and I sync my work Exchange account to my personal laptop for cross-calendar visibility. That means from my MacBook Air I do see a "home" calendar listed in the Exchange calendar list, BUT I have it unchecked so I'm not seeing duplicate events all the time. Additionally, I have confirmed the invite is coming directly from the iCloud calendar event, not the Exchange duplicate. If I leave the Exchange calendar visible then I understandably get duplicate invite prompts from that calendar. I also get invite popups for every single Exchange calendar event even when I've accepted everything from the work Exchange account, which is annoying, but I figure is just the two platforms not playing well together, which will be unavoidable and too low a priority for anyone to bother fixing. Anyone else have this issue? Any fix possible other than keeping it entirely separate from the Exchange calendar (which isn't an option since I need visibility of all my calendars, personal and work, within a single calendar)?
