Problems displaying properly hyphenated words

Apple Books problem — On my iPad in the book How to Meditate on Stages of the Path by Kathleen McDonald, often in two-column mode when one page ends with a hyphenated word, e.g., “rec,” on the next page the line containing the rest of the word “ognize” is indented (Books app page 49 and 50). Also, sometimes, for no apparent reason (no hyphenation involved) the first line on a following page is also indented. I’ve noticed this problem on multiple books.
