iPhone - Find my devices

Question

On find my iPhone

the devices sections shows my family’s location but one device is a iPhone 12 but it shows as iPhone 7s

would like to change that

Once you change the name on the “offending” device (assuming that Mac Jim ID’s hunch is correct - which it usually is ) …

… FindMy will usually take “a while” to refresh.

Don’t obsess over it, or agonize while watching it.

Just look at it tomorrow.

On that device, go to Settings > General > About > Name, and see what the name of that device is, and change it if necessary.
