Just upgraded to ios26.2
my Control Center allow access setting is turned off when locked, but it doesn’t work.
it worked fine on my old iOS.
Tried toggling back on and then off again and also tried a re-boot of the phone.
All to no avail. Please advise what to do next.

Are you saying with that setting off the Control Center still opens up when locked? Try moving your iPhone away from you or cover the TrueDepth camera and try again. It's likely you are unlocking the iPhone with your face without you knowing.

Can confirm that this feature still works with ios 26.2, this is how I have my phone set up, needing face id to unlock control center. I concur with Zachyy.

Thats exactly what is happening. If I turn the phone away from my face, it doesn’t open up the Control Center.
Even my Apple Watch got in on the act and started opening up the iPhone for me as well, as it was turned away from my face!
