Can not delete Contact List or add Contacts

Delete Contact List

I created a list for cards. It was from a civ file that I built from a spreadsheet. I imported the cards (civ) then printed envelopes. All done. I got rid of the contacts in the list and then attempted to remove the list -- to no avail. It could not be done!

Since that, I have chatted as well as spoken to apple support regarding this problem. Also no resolution. I searched my machine and did find a couple of files that seem to tell of a crash of the contacts app. I can get them to support if it would do some good.

I would really like to restore the functionality to my contacts app if possible and will work towards that end.

If this is expected behavior of the application I would like to see it changed -- just saying!

If it would be possible to remove and re-install the app I would like to try that.

If there is another place where Apple would like this reported, please let me know.
