Syncing music to iPhone from Tahoe music app

music app sync to iphone

using Tahoe and M4 iMac I would like to sync an album from my library “Neil Young - Unplugged” to my iPhone

I do t want to sync Nirvana Unplugged or Eric Clapton Unplugged,

unfortunately I only have the option of syncing all Neil Young albums, or I have a list of albums called “Unplugged” in the albums section,

Unplugged

Unplugged

Unplugged

how do I know which one is the correct one?

why can’t I sync from the music app,

I can only do it from finder?

Why can’t I send separate songs to iPhone like I could with iTunes?

Syncing with the Finder is done the same way it was done formally with iTunes using the same sync options. You choose what you want to sync by the Artist, Playlist, Album, Genre. If all of the Albums you want to sync are the same name, then you are going to need to have some way to differentiate them.

For comparison, this was the old way of using iTunes where the same options exist.

You can sync playlists to the iPhone in Finder.

Right-click and add the album to a new playlist, and then sync the playlist.

Actually, you can send songs, artists, albums and playlists to the iPhone.

Our friend @Mac Jim ID has previously posted links to guidance for syncing the iPhone in Finder.
