I'm afraid the videos were somehow have malware or malicious software in it

Malware affects software applications —not individual file types.

Scan your Mac with Malwarebytes for Mac:

Malwarebytes searches for malware(short for (malicious software) and spyware. Those make your Mac act in a mislead manor. So scan with it, and remove what is found from the quarantine. It is created by longtime users of these forums making it the only reliable Security Software for a Mac.

Downloads:

  1. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac
  2. Malwarebytes Uninstaller

Your phone is not hacked unless you let someone use your phone for an hour or so and also provided them with your Passcode, Apple ID and Password.

Did you do this? If you did, then you should erase your phone and then do not restore it from a backup. Use a new Passcode and Apple ID Password along with a new password for email, etc. when you set up your phone again.

If you did not let someone else use your phone and you did not provide them with your personal information, then you need to stop worrying about something that never happened.

Malware on your iPhone:

You’re not going to get Malware on your iPhone. I’m looking out for you on a Mac, as it’s the only way to scan for it (because of this paranoidness you have for malware)”

If anything of concern, it might be…

  • Screensharing —so, do so with those whom you trust. Microsoft takes full control when doing so, whereas Apple runs you through it.

  • Accessibility Apps —you’d have to permit their use in Security & Privacy, in order for it to make any affect —get such add-ons and apps from those whom you trust.

There is no certainty here. That’s not how any of this works.

You may well be hacked.

Very likely not, it’s rare and targeted, but it’s possible.

We also don’t know a whole lot of the details here. What got downloaded, why, whether any additional apps or tools were downloaded, any profiles, any account exposures, whether passwords or passcodes were sxposed, whether theniPhone was out of your control, what your particular personal risks might be, and so on.

Want to improve your chances? Enable two-factor authentication, update to iOS 26.2, and best stop downloading who-knows-what downloaded from who-knows-where.

might I ask you what does

mean ?

and is what Mrhoffman saying is true ?

It is somewhere between difficult and impossible to prove a negative; that some non-trivial gear is not hacked.

Is it likely? No.

But there are many things about this case and your risks and exposures that we don’t know.

If you’re concerned, load iOS 26.2, and also stop accessing stuff you suspect (or know) is sketchy.
