Currently on Apple One and would like to downgrade to just iCloud storage....

Currently, I have an Apple One Subscription, which includes TV, News, Music, etc., along with 2T of iCloud storage.

It is a family account, and I am the owner and share it with my Wife and Son.

However, we’ve realized that we are not using all the services and paying for something that is underutilized.  So we want to cancel the Apple One Subscription, but at the same time add back the 2T of iCloud storage.  Additionally, we’d like to make the owner of the new storage my Son.

So my fundamental question is, how do I do this, while still ensuring that everyone has iCloud storage during the cancellation of Apple One and adding back the iCloud storage?

Any suggestions or insights are greatly appreciated… and I hope this question makes sense.

See if the son can subscribe to a family level subscription to ICloud storage. If he can, you can then cancel Apple One. This article implies that having both should be possible.

Buy iCloud+ or upgrade your current storage plan - Apple Support

Note that if you are the Family Sharing Organizer, you could potentially still end up paying for this.
