Cannot find the total file size of a curated Playlist

Using the Music app, I make playlists with specific lengths and sizes as part of my job, and those playlists have a hard ceiling on how big, in total file size, the playlist can be. Now, using Music with MacOS 26.2, when I look at any playlist in Music, the option to see total file size is missing. I can still see other iterations—for example, the total time length of the playlist (but only if in (ugh) Playlist View, and at the bottom of the playlist). But if I want to know how large an existing playlist is (and not in Library view, where it's also missing), I have to guess at it, which I'm finding to be not-a-solution. (This is an integral part of my job.)

tl;dr: The option to "View" information about a playlist—specifically its total file size—by "Hide/Show"-ing any status bars (i.e. from the menu options, where the options used to be) is missing from menu options, not referenced in the help files, and isn't included in incidental playlist info.

How do I now view or measure the total file size of a curated playlist on Music?

Thanks everyone!

Mac mini, macOS 26.2

Sorry I don't have a Mac with MacOS26.2 handy to check:

While viewing a playlist in the Music app:

Try clicking View in the top menu bar > Choose "Status Bar"

Look down at the bottom of the window to view file size in the info shown in Status bar along the botttom.

Solved:

Before: In OS 26.1, and only when in the "View > as Playlist" mode. Whether status bar was "shown" or "hidden", it was only visible by scrolling to the end of the playlist—as opposed to being anchored to the bottom of the frame and always visible, as in previous incarnations of the Music App). This Status Bar also omitted total file size of the playlist.

Now: in OS 26.2, in Playlist Mode, the "Status Bar" is only visible at the upper right hand of the frame, and only once you scroll long enough for the Header of the playlist to disappear past the top of the frame. Then it pops into view. But if your playlist isn't long enough to allow you to scroll down (say, there's eleven songs in the playlist instead of thirty), you have to pretend like you're scrolling down—you'll see the title bar and songs nominally start to mve but bounce to a stop. Only then will you see that status bar pop up in the upper left, but then you have to "hold" the scroll for it to remain on the screen—otherwise when you let go of that "hold", the title bar and songs will bounce back into their original place, and the status bar will disappear.

HOW G.D. FRUSTRATING! Apple used to have a decent enough player. Now I may have to look for other apps. With 26.2 they have ruined the Music app, and I almost think it's by design. 🤔
