How to prevent Safari from relayouting webpages during pinch-zoom?

How can I stop Safari from relayouting a webpage when I pinch-zoom? More often than not, when pinch-zoomed on an area of interest, relayouting causes elements to go over the area of interest, or in some cases the area of interest to disappear from the view. All of this could be resolved by allowing zooming while keeping the layout of the page static as it is evident by how other browsers like Firefox works in a similar scenario.
