AirPods Pro 2 not staying connected?

So I have AirPods Pro 2 and I noticed they haven’t been staying connected to my 17pro max consistently. My phone is on the latest iOS version. I tried to update my AirPods but it didn’t work. Ive tried multiple methods to connect my AirPods to my phone and the only solution that works is restarting my phone and then pairing them that way. Does anyone else experience this and have any suggestions to problem please.
