Front camera not working after iOS 26.2 update

Same problem with upgrade to iOS 26.2 on iPhone 15

-burst mode on front camera can work

-selfie camera can work

-front camera shows picture being taken (sometimes) but never saves photo. Also front camera video can freeze and then camera restarts.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

3. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches. Turn off your iPhone, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

Having said that my front camera has just started “magically” working again this morning. I don’t want to say too much as I might jinx it.

Maybe the phone had to run hotter for the new iOS and this caused an intermittent front camera hw fault?

I have I 13pro, after installing iOS 26.6 they front camera stopped working, black screen

Same for me with an IPhone 15pro.

Face ID still worked until I did a full reset of the phone. Now I can’t even set up Face ID anymore.

Or … it could be related to the 26.2 upgrade, as this seems like a lot of “pure coincidences”. Not jailbroken and working perfectly before upgrade.
