I restarted both devices and turned bluetooth off & back on. I don't have a VPN or iMazing.

The MB bluetooth settings don't find the iphone. And the iphone's bluetooth settings DO find the MacBook - BUT says the device is "unsupported".

When I get a call, I can no longer answer it on the Macbook. However, I still can do so on my 2015 iMac running 11.6?!

I can airdrop pics from the iphone to the Macbook. That is supposed to require bluetooth, right?

And the phone shows up in the finder sidebar. And I can still send & receive iMessage from both devices.

iphone mirroring also seems to work.

The Mac and the iPhone do not "pair" via Bluetooth. They never have. It's not an option.

There are certain feature that require Bluetooth to be turned on in each device to work. Airdrop is one. Continuity Camera is another. But these devices do not pair as you might pair a set of headphones or a speaker, or even AirPods.

Also check the FaceTime settings. Both devices must be signed into FaceTime to enable the Mac to receive iphone calls.
