Music Library in disarray after cloud sync

Re Apple Music, OS Tahoe 26.1, MacBook Pro

The songs list has exact duplicates for almost all songs since I subscribed to Apple One and set up Music Sync. Cloud status is Matched, Purchased,Error, Uploaded, Waiting: I understand what these mean, but can't find information in the guide on which need action to correct or improve them, or whether I should just delete a duplicate. Complications: When I click the download error, I frequently get an error saying the original song can't be found. Also, the number of Plays is different between identical songs, but often the same. And somewhere along the way the library lost the number of plays for at least 20%, showing 0 plays when I know they've often been played in the 18 years I've been using iTunes and Music.


So at least, could we start with references to helpful posts or Apple Support text; should I write a separate query for each problem? Thanks.
