MacBook Pro shows "Paused" note when connecting to Wi-Fi

Are you using a manual IP Address, rather than good old DHCP address?

"MacBook Pro shows 'Paused' note when connecting to Wi-Fi: I have MacBook Pro and just recently I cannot log into my home WiFi. Gives me a 'Paused' note saying Your device has been paused. I don’t have any problems on my IPad or my IPhone using the same WiFi. Any ideas?"

Paused Connections on Public LANs:

Are you using a public LAN? Hotels and campgrounds often provide keycards to get into the network; if you use too much network resources, then you'll be paused. So, ask those releasing these keycards for a new login key. Make sure you are obeying the Terms of Use --such as data usage, in this case.

I stand corrected about the hotel part. But, some individuals with RV homes at campgrounds use the public LAN, and just get kicked off.
