How to use the Messages app with two phone numbers, or run two instances of the message app on desktop

How can i use the Messages app with two phone numbers, or run two instances of the message app on desktop ? My wife and I often need to log into each others online accounts for shopping, banking, etc. We want to be able to receive the 2FA messages from the online accounts on our laptop or desktop for each other’s phone numbers. Can the Messages app support two phone numbers? Or can I use the MacOS terminal shell to run a second instance of Messages and log into it with our other phone number?
