Receiving FaceTime video calls when MBP connected to a monitor hub
Hi everyone,
I am using iPhone 14 Pro updated to 26.1 and MBP 14" M2 also updated to 26.1. My MBP is connected through Thunderbolt 4 cable to Dell 2725QE monitor hub. TB4 cable came with monitor from Dell and has the little lighting symbols on the connectors. My problem is with FaceTime on my MBP and the facts are as listed:
- Everything works fine on my iPhone.
- I can make and receive audio calls using Phone app on my MBP.
- I can make video calls using FaceTime on my MBP.
- I can switch a video call from my iPhone to my MBP if someone calls using FaceTime.
- I cannot receive a FaceTime video call on my MBP.
- When I disconnect TB4 cable from my laptop and use the laptop on its own, I can normally receive FaceTime video calls...
- I tried turning both monitor and laptop off, removed the TB4 cable, turned the monitor on first, then laptop, then reconnected the cable but it did not help.
Any ideas/suggestions? Did anyone have a similar issue?
Thank you,
MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 26.1
