Can I play my purchased music playlist on iPhone without Apple Music subscription?

I want to know if there is a way to play my playlist on my iPhone without having to subscribe for 11.00 dollars a month. I used to use iPods in my vehicles with playlist I’ve compiled from music I have purchased seems that with Apple Music I still have access to my music I’ve purchased but not playlist. Am I really going to have to pay 11.00/month to listen to playlist I have compiled just for the proprietary use of Apple Music to get my playlist to play on my phone. Seems like I’m paying for music I’ve already purchased twice.

YES — you can play your purchased music and your playlists on your iPhone without paying for Apple Music.

Apple does not require a subscription to play music you own.

What’s confusing is that the Music app now mixes Apple Music features with purchased/iTunes Library features, so some playlist functions look like they’re behind a paywall — but they are not.
