My AirPods play YouTube soundtrack instead of podcasts

Can someone shed light on my problem with the AirPods2 ? My normal listening menu consists of podcasts only. When I am outside close to the house - cutting grass in summer - shovelling snow in winter - and the wife is watching something on YouTube, my podcast will cut out and suddenly I am listening to the soundtrack of the YouTube that she is watching on the desktop Mac Mini. Is there a remedy for this annoyance?

Turn OFF Automatic Switching on the Mac mini

This is the most effective fix.

On the Mac mini:

Open System Settings
Go to Bluetooth
Click the (i) next to your AirPods Pro 2
Find Connect to This Mac
Change it to: When Last Connected to This Mac

This stops your AirPods from hijacking the Mac’s audio.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my issue. I've allowed this problem to fester for a long time since, after all, it wasn't the end of the world to be cut from my podcasts to the wife's YouTube soundtracks, but it was annoying. What finally prompted me to post, was that I was shovelling snow on the driveway yesterday in -22ºC. There was no way that I was going to find my phone buried in the depths of my parka, take off 2 layers of gloves, just to reset the phone to the podcast track. I'm forever grateful for your taking the time to point out this very simple fix buried in the depths of System Settings.
