My left AirPod pro will not connect and is not even recognized by my phone, help!

I’ve been having this issue as of this morning and I don’t know what to do. For context, my dog chewed my old AirPod case, making the whole top come apart whenever I would open it or even just in general. Because of this, I went on to Amazon and bought a charging case, not an actual AirPod case, but a cheap and simple replacement. I’ve had it for a few weeks and it’s worked amazingly, just having some issues sometimes with the purpose not realizing they’re out of the case, but it’s not bad at all. However, as of this morning, the left AirPod pro has not been able to connect to my phone, only the right. I’ve searched it up and done everything they recommend, but nothing works. I’ve fully updated IOS, disconnected and reconnected, I’ve restarted my AirPods, and I’ve checked to see if they’re both charging, and that’s when I saw a big issue. My phone didn’t even recognize my left AirPod at all. It didn’t say it was charging when it said the right was charging. I don’t know what to do, but I am constantly on long car rides and would love to have both earbuds.

Your left AirPod Pro isn’t connecting because your Amazon replacement charging case is no longer detecting or charging it. If the case doesn’t recognize the left AirPod, the iPhone can’t see it either. Cleaning, testing slot swaps, and resets may help, but the real fix is using a functioning case — preferably a genuine Apple case. The AirPod itself is probably fine; the case is failing.
