Mulitple glitching/set up issues with new Macbook pro M4 Pro.

Recently got a new Macbook pro M4 and went through the migration assistant to transfer data from an old 2015 macbook air to the new device. Opted to transfer the old data under a new account. Upon completion of the migration, I attempted to sign into the second account with the old mac air data and managed to get through the initial set-up but was then prompted to "enter the password used with this macbook." I used the pwd associated with the "master account" and I kept getting an unknown error message. I'm certain it was the correct pwd because anytime I entered a different password, it would explicitly tell me that one was incorrect - only the correct one produced the aforementioned message.

Additionally, attempting to install office 365 was an absolute nightmare. I had to run the office uninstaller (for older versions) and the new 365 installer multiple times and restart multiple times - it only worked successfully after 2 hours of grief and frustration.

Finally, I am now UNABLE to login via apple ID into my macbook Air. Each time I put in my apple information I'm just prompted to re-enter it into a continuous loop. I'm not sure why this is the case as this ability is new and only occurred after I logged out of my mac air when running the migration assistant. For some additional context my mac is running the Monterey series of OS and appears to be up to date.

This entire set-up process has been painfully frustrating and should not occur when someone spends many thousands of dollars on a new device. Any tips/tricks or insight into what's going on particularly with my inability to sign in via apple id into my old mac air would be greatly appreciated.
