How to sort Messages app conversations by last message received or sent?

So i have one conversation where i will delete messages throughout and leave the last message from the day before. Yet when i delete the messages and it says the last message is from yesterday it still shows at the top of my list because i messaged them last, with the time of the sent or received message. How to i get the conversation to fall into place with the rest of my messages according to the last time they were received or sent?
