Apple -- PLEASE FIX MAIL RULES

I'm on an "old" MacBook Pro, do OS updates as they are offered, my system is running 13.7.8

I can't edit to remove, sometimes I can't add, or what I've added disappears. Often the rules that do function don't apply until I use the drop-down menu > apply rules.

It's very important that I have rules indications because of the many groups and projects I work on. I imagine I'm not the only one :)

Apple has needed to fix this known issue for a very long time. How about now?

You are not addressing Apple in these strictly fellow user-supported and public communities.

The Apple Mail rules panel is not rocket science. It allows you to add, edit, duplicate, or remove rules. I have a rule named No Spam. On that rule panel, I have 29 individual rules one for each spam source I want to intercept and move to the Trash. Nothing just disappears in the No Spam rule.

Perhaps you should revisit how you are forming Mail rules:

I too have been using Mail rules for decades and I only use them for SPAM with one exception. When I receive an email notification from Peets Coffee, I set the background color of the received message to green so it stands out.

Otherwise, regardless of the operating system, including Ventura, I have never set a Mail rule that mysteriously disappeared. I have set a few that did not work until after the forehead slap and rule revision.

Unfortunately, I cannot offer any advice about your disappearing rules issue. And, Ventura has fallen off of the usual three-year support window for Apple operating systems, so no fixes will be forthcoming from Apple, even if it is a bug.
