Photomator lifetime subscription - includes future updates?

I am thinking about buying the lifetime subscription of the Photomator app. However, it is unclear for me if this would also include updates in the future.

The app is exciting and has potential but (my poinion) not yet there to be a real "competition"/replacement for affinity and lightroom etc.

The full apple workflow is really attractive and almost convincing, still the (for now) missing functions make me wonder if investing the money and potentially being stuck with a nice but only "half" version would be the result.

Did anyone find some information about this and can share?

If you buy a lifetime licence now, you should get:

The full app with all current tools/features
Compatibility across all your devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac) under the same Apple ID support.pixelmator.com+1
Free minor updates (bug-fixes, small improvements) and — most likely — major updates, as long as the same app version lineage is maintained

But be aware: “lifetime” does not mean invincible — extremely unlikely but possible scenarios (major rewrite; platform discontinuation; change in licence model) could impact how far “lifetime” truly goes.
