New first time watch owner: two issues

I’m a new watch owner. First time. Third generation SE. No problems for several days. Now two issues, one of which has resolved itself, but I would like to know what was going on. Immediately before these issues showed up I turned off “always on.” Also I just updated the OS:

1) The watch keeps asking me to sign in with the four digit security code. Like every few seconds.

2) A green light on the back of the watch was flashing. Then stopped flashing but stayed on. As I started composing this note the light turned off.

Did you make sure, that Wrist Detection is enabled in the settings, which it should be by default?

Lock or unlock Apple Watch - Apple Support

In case it is disabled, the watch will ask for your passcode, if you want to use the watch.

The green light is the sensor, trying to find out, if your watch is still on your wrist and if a heart rate can be measured.

I assume you are the watch when this happens? If you can see the green light it is not tight enough. You should be able to push a finger between strap and inner wrist but not two fingers.

On the desk, off charge, yes it will continue to ask for a code.
