Safari redacts web page content

Why are there ridiculous Redactions on Safari web pages? It used to be the best way to save a web page was: File>Print>PDF>Save as PDF and I would get a clean Acrobat document. Now, opening a webpage there are certain lines highlighted in blue and when I save, those lines are redacted with a black bar over the words.

And content doesn’t involve security or money issues. The redactions are ridiculous in nature!

Is this another caveat of subversive Sequoia OS? Is this a naive AI thing?

How do I disable this redaction device?

Control Click on the PDF after you have saved it and choose the Open With... option and select Preview. Make sure to do this before opening/saving with Acrobat. If you don't see the redactions there, then you know it is Adobe Acrobat where they are being applied and Adobe would be the best resource for a resolution, although there may be some setting that can be shut off in the app.

There are no AI Writing Tools in Sequoia, but Adobe Acrobat does have it.

What you experienced is due to the Adobe Acrobat software, not part of Sequoia or anything to do with Sequoia.

If you want to explore any other issue, you can provide more detail on what you are experiencing. I still have Sequoia on one of my daily Macs and it is very stable without any issues with TextEdit or icons appearing blank. If you can post a screenshot of what you are seeing, that may help to further investigate.

Also not sure what you are referring to by bloated apps or un-warranted security. If you are getting a pop up on your screen that says a process has been blocked because it cannot be verified, then that is something you need to address. There is likely a third party process attempting to run constantly on computer that is either not signed due to it being too old or has been identified as Malware.

Mac,

I'm talking about a miriad of annoying issues happening since I upgraded with Sequoia. In fact today, the search function in calendar doesn't work and the keyword is right in front of me. Look up solutions don't even apply to the sparse system settings. Oh! And I love that when transferring photos from iPhone, it starts uploading then freezes and I end up with ghost icons that I have to trash and then start over- but discovered I can only select about 50 photos & videos. I used to, with my old old phone upload hundreds at a time and fast! Look in the community and you will see many annoying issues with Sequoia. I will make a list and present it to you- maybe you can tell me what i'm doing wrong.

I'm not quite sure you understood the fact that yours is not a Safari problem, or even a Mac problem. It's an Adobe problem, and Adobe is a different company. This is an Apple product support site, so if you are seeking help with Adobe products then you need to contact Adobe: Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support

Otherwise uninstall the Adobe product causing your concern. Not only is it not required, from what you describe it is only causing problems for you. Refer to its uninstallation instructions. For general third party app uninstallation instructions, refer to Delete or uninstall apps on Mac - Apple Support.

Hey John,

I don't understand it's not a safari problem? How am I supposed to know that? What's to prove that? I opened several redacted PDF's with Preview and the redactions are still there. And let me say this I've owned at least twenty apple computers etc (not including phones) and pay for the full suite of Adobe apps probably before you were born. All apps are used for work purposes and I don't appreciate having problems that I have to spend time and look up every two minutes. My G4's (3) are slow but staple and I don't upgrade them & keep them of line. I love them.

Oh I will ask adobe and google what's up. And I don't need instructions on how to do normal tasks.
