Apple ID password reset: no verification text

Hi, dear community,

We are facing an issue with resetting Apple ID password.

We have tried it for 4-5 times, with confirming my phone number, then e-mail address (I receive 6 digits confirmation code in both cases) and then I was informed to wait 24 hours before receiving a text message or phone call. And that's it. We didn't receive a call or a text message.

Tried to reset it again, the process just repeats. Tried also from web, from other iPhone - nothing changes.

The e-mail which I used for Apple ID is @icloud.com.

What can I do in this case?

If you don't receive your verification or reset email, read this Apple Support article: If you didn’t receive your verification or reset email - Apple Support

"When you make certain updates to your Apple ID, we’ll send you an email to help you complete the update. For example, you might have reset your password, reset your security questions, or added a new email address to your account." Also check your junk mail.

The email is, of course, being sent to the address you provided which was your iCloud address. I would never use an iCloud address for an Apple ID for exactly that reason.

Allright, we have tried everything what we found on Apple Support site. Then I contacted Apple Support Chat twice and they opened a request and asked us to phone the Apple Support from neighbor country.

I wonder that in SETTINGS app I have a notification “Did you try to reset your password…”, when I choose it I was asked to put the trusted phone number. After confirming phone number it just takes me back to previous page. And this process repeats.

If I still have an access to trusted device, to iCloud mail and trusted phone number, why I have to wait verification to change my password?

The loop process in SETTINGS app is literally iOS bug/issue and one want to help us.
