My MacBook Air (M2) has been experiencing severe sluggishness and rapid battery drain after installing the Tahoe 26.1 update. The system frequently freezes, making even basic browsing difficult, and YouTube often gets stuck while playing videos. Is there any solution for this issue?

It is possible there are processes running in the background that are using significant resources. Check Activity Monitor, CPU tab (sort by % CPU) and Memory tab (sort by Memory) to see what's running hard.

Also, check your storage to make sure it’s not close to full.
