Crackling Noise in AirPods Max Only When Using Mac

I've been using a pair of AirPods Max for a year with no issue. However, in the last month, the speakers have begun producing a loud crackling/popping/static noise about every 15 seconds.

This noise only happens when I am listening to audio from my Mac; it does not occur when listening to audio from my iPhone, iPad, Nintendo Switch, or any other device. It also happens on every listening mode. I've noticed it both in busy settings and when alone, so not thinking it's an interference issue?

I recently updated my Mac to Tahoe 26.1 in hopes of fixing the issue, but no luck. I've also reset my AirPods Max several times, also with no luck fixing the issue.
