Seeking battery replacement for swelling 2015 MacBook Pro

The battery in my 2015 MacBook pro is swelling. Problem is Apple no longer makes batteries for anything older than the 2017 models. The one Mac repair shop in town will not install any after market items. And, from what I've read online, running your MacBook without a battery is not ideal. Looks like the performance goes down and there is an issue with power surges (apparently the battery protects the computer from power surges). Anywho, looks like replacing the battery myself would be a big hassle (at least from the one YouTube video I've watched). Does anyone know of a company that will replace the battery in an older Mac? I've seen after market batteries on Amazon

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.7

most users here, including myself, would recommend that you source a replacement battery from OWC’s website. they are a go to source for Mac compatible hardware. and their batteries seem to be the best third party option for a Mac.

EDIT: and, yes, they perform battery replacement services.
