iPhone still prompts for password for deleted Apple ID
Subject: Issue With Deleted Apple ID Still Linked to Device
Hello Apple Support,
I need help with an account issue related to my Apple ID.
About a month ago, I purchased a new iPhone 16 Pro. At first, I tried to recover my old Apple ID: a********@gmail.com but I couldn’t remember the password. I started the recovery process and received a notification that recovery would take some time.
While waiting, I created a new temporary Apple ID: a******gmail.com and linked it to my phone number: +37495xxxxxx.
Later, I received an SMS confirming that I could recover access to my original Apple ID. I successfully restored it, erased old information on it, and started using the original account normally.
After that, I deleted the temporary Apple ID (a******@gmail.com) through Apple’s account deletion system, and it said it would be permanently deleted after one week.
However, even after it was deleted, my iPhone still asks me to enter the password for the deleted Apple ID from time to time. When I try to reset or sign in, the system says the Apple ID does not exist. So I cannot remove it or sign out.
I would like Apple Support to help unlink and remove the deleted Apple ID from my device and iCloud services. I am fully ready to verify identity, ownership, and complete any required steps.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,
Artur
