iMovie volume adjustment lacks granularity

Is there no way to granularly adjust the volume in iMovie? I already have the waveform at its largest size and adjusting it it jumps from 141% to 158%. The volume slider in the tool bar in the upper right is marginally better. How difficult would it have been for them to allow typing in the percentage?

to be honest, most of the pros I work with don't even use FCP anymore.

Premiere or DaVinci are more in use. Even Avid Media Composer is out of favor.

iMovie is good for what it is, but it is frustrating at times. You'd think they could throw a few developers at it, with 80000 employees in the states alone.

Apple makes iPhones, a few computers, their own silicon, and they stream.

Shareholders talk, everything else walks. Not unusual in corps.
