iTunes playlist playback and album view issues after update
Good day Apple Community!
I'm running "Tahoe 26.1" on my 2020 iMac. I've been using iMacs for almost 20 years and since the last update, I have a couple of issues with iTunes.
I've always created my own "Playlists" and set the view to "Albums". When I wanted to listen to particular album/song, I'd go to the "Playlist" that I created for the artist and either play the album from the beginning, or listen to a particular song, for example, in the middle of the album. Since the last update, no matter which song I select to play, other than the first song, the song that will play is the very first song on that album.
I contacted Apple Support and spoke with a Senior Advisor, who had me reinstall "Tahoe 26.1" to see if that would resolve the issue. Since I was going to take while for the reinstall, we ended the call. He provided me with a case number and suggested I call back if the issue was resolved. Since that did not fix the issue, I called back and spoke with another Senior Advisor, who said that I AM USING iTunes INCORRECTLY and the App is working the way it was designed to work. As I mentioned, I've been doing it this way for almost 20 years and haven't had an issue in the past.
The second issue has to do with the view. As I mentioned, I set the Playlist view to "Album" so when I select a Playlist, you can see all the albums within that Playlist. That's remains the case. However, once selecting an album from the Playlist and then returning to the page contain all the albums by clicking on the "Back Arrow" in the upper left hand corner, all you see is a "Tile" with four (assuming you have more than four albums in the Playlist) album covers. From there, you can't do anything. The only way to get back to the original view is by exiting iTunes and selecting the Playlist again.
Is anyone else experiencing these issues and/or have suggestions as to how to fix them?
Thanks!
