How do I successfully add cash to Apple Cash using Assistive Touch?

Am trying to add cash to Apple Cash in the wallet. I've done it successfully before, but now it gets hung up at the step that says I need to use "Assistive Touch" to verify. Every time I try to do it, I fail.

I have it enabled in Accessibility, and have used the white dot many times for various actions, but I get stuck with the Add Cash process.

What does Assistive Touch require that I'm doing wrong?
